Susan Tyler studied art at Sam Houston, just shy of completing her BFA degree, life pulled her away from art as a career. While at Sam Houston she studied under some of Texas finest art instructors: Charles Pebworth, Harry Aschan, Stanly Lee and Lois Streeter.

Through it all she never let go of her dream to paint. Her art work expresses emotion with color. Susan is struck by the mesmerizing use of light and color and says "art lights my soul and gives meaning to my days."
